How to fix Woocommerce theme layout problem in shop page, category page, product page, images size, thumbnails size; with or without sidebar(s) in any theme.

If you are here you have my very same problem, each time I install Woocommerce in a new WordPress website. But since

errare umanus est, perseverare diabolicus

, i want to find a quick fix to be used with almost any theme. Basically it is about:

  • Create a new page within you active theme folder called “woocommerce.php”
  • Copy the content of “page.php” (in the active theme folder as well).
  • Edit the new file (woocommerce.php) and replace all the code included in
<?php if (have_posts()) : ?>

and the relative closing “end if” with:

<?php woocommerce_content(); ?

This done, you wull get your woocommerce layout perfectly integrated with you active theme.

For more information about this: Third party / custom theme compatibility

As soon as i have some time to spend on this, i will publish woocommerce.php for some theme.

P.s. i suggest you to take a look to the child-themes, very useful to go through themes updates with no pain.
