Nginx, php-fcgi, curl

phpHow to add Curl to php-fcgi with Nginx.

Writing this obvious information, is useful to me because of two reasons:

2) My poor memory.

Step1 Downloading and installing your distro curl-php, search for it first, so you can possibly choose which one to install.

apt-cache search php curl
php5-curl - CURL module for php5

So you can install

apt-get install php5-curl

On Debian it’s easy. It will create a new file in /etc/php/cgi/conf.d/20-curl.ini which will contain all you need to get curl working with spawn-fcgi and nginx.

Since I’m new to Nginx, the most of the time i make a modification to php.ini i just restart nginx, which is not the right thing to do, instead, I should restart spawn-fcgi, which is the one who reads php.ini during the startup.

That’s all:
Just restart php and not nginx.
